CASK STORE APARTMENTS, BRISTOL

The Project

The Cask Store is a design-and-build development featuring 38 luxury apartments, created for Finzels Reach Property LLP as part of a major mixed-use regeneration initiative in the heart of Bristol. The project presented several challenges, including restricted site access and the complex task of constructing the building adjacent to, and integrating with, the historic curved façade along the River Avon.

Our Role

Curtis Surveyors were engaged as the Employer’s Agent and Quantity Surveyor (QS) for this project.

The Outcome

The project resulted in an impressive development of distinctive apartments, all of which were sold before the building’s completion.


HaRbour Point Apartments, Cardiff Bay

The Brief

Construction of a brand new, Art Deco inspired development of private, luxury coastal apartments in the heart of Cardiff Bay.

Our Role

Whilst the project was managed on-site by the client, we provided extensive support throughout the development process through detailed programming, preparation of budgets and cost plans. Prepared, measured and tendered all the packages and made recommendations on the appointment of each trade, then managed the financial accounts of each package.

The Outcome

All of the apartments were sold during the construction stage.


The Malthouse Apartments - Phase 1, Pencoed

The Brief

The construction of Phase One of a two phase retail and apartment development locatedin the centre of Pencoed in Bridgend. The corner building is in a prominent position and is of striking design comprising a steel frame at ground floor level, a concrete slab at first floor level with timber frame construction to the upper floors. A large retail unit spans the whole of the ground floor with six apartments on the upper floors.

The Outcome

Successful, seamless delivery was followed quickly by Sheppards Pharmacy choosing to occupy the retail unit in addition to the six apartments attracting tenants.
